Dear Parents,
I’m excited like to let you know about the e-learning website called Edmodo.com which our class will be using this year. Edmodo allows our class to extend the physical classroom into an online learning space providing 24/7 access. Students will be able to:
*post messages to the teacher and ask questions about work from home,*share ideas about class work from anywhere at any time,
*share files and resources with the teacher and other students in the class,
*keep track of important due dates, events and tasks,
*quickly and easily catch up on handouts or work missed due to absence,
*receive and hand-in assignment tasks electronically (as needed)
Edmodo is a private, teacher-controlled online learning space. Students will use their 9 digit district ID as their log-in username and password and will also be provided a secure access code to join the class online. Once students have joined, parents will also be given an access code by which they can monitor their child’s academic progress. All online communications are monitored by the classroom teacher as students can post responses or questions to individual assignments.
Any essential material placed on Edmodo will also be made available to students in paper handout format whenever needed. If students are unable access Edmodo from home, they are welcome to make use of my classroom computers during their break, or before and after school whenever necessary.
I believe the Edmodo learning platform will be an instrumental tool in furthering Avaxat’s vision to assist all learners in achieving their dreams! I encourage you to explore Edmodo (accessed on Mr. Wallace’s class links) with your child as soon as it’s activated. If you have any questions, please contact me at [email protected] or (951) 696-1402 ext.2136
Thank You!
Mr. Wallace
